Constricting clutches and brakes
Danfoss Airflex constricting drum clutches concentrate the frictional force on the outer drum to maximize torque. They maintain uniform contact velocity, require no lubrication, are self-adjusting, and can be used as both clutches and brakes in general power transmission applications.
Expanding clutches and brakes
Danfoss expanding clutches concentrate the frictional force on the inner drum to achieve torque. They are primarily used as slip clutches or tension brakes, and they provide uniform contact velocity, self-adjustment, and fast, continuous heat dissipation.
Spring-applied brakes
Our stand-alone spring-applied hydraulic-release brakes can be relied upon to deliver stopping power when safety is a primary concern. These brakes provide 225 Nm to 1,500 Nm [2,000 lb-in to 13,300 lb-in] of reliable holding torque.
