Reverse displacement motor (RDM)

Danfoss reverse-displacement motors (RDMs) are two-position reversing motors that provide smooth shift-on-the-go capability for open circuit applications. Integrated proportional shifting valves use system pressure to allow reversal, eliminating the need for external valves or pressure supply. Our RDMs are available with displacements from 25 cm3 to 45 cm3 [1.5 in3 to 2.75 in3].

The reverse displacement motor (RDM) is designed for durability and flexibility when reverse functionality is needed.

Features and benefits

  • Designed for open circuit applications
  • Five displacements for optimum selection of a hydraulic motor to fit your application
  • Proven technology of Danfoss L&K motors
  • Short and compact  with simple installation—fewer hoses; reduced losses
  • High efficiency—nine piston rotating groups with an 18-degree maximum angle
  • Integrated shifting valve enables reversing—no external valves or external pressure supply needed
  • 12 VDC and 24 VDC valves

Applications

  • Fan Drives with reverse functionality
  • Conveyors
