H1B counterbalance valve systems
A counterbalance valve (CBV) helps secure open-circuit applications when their motors are in a downhill or pulling-force mode. If system pressure is lost, the CBV retards spinning motion and makes losing control of the load less likely.
Features and benefits
- Designed as bi-directional spool valve
- Intended for use as safety valve for applications such as traction motors or winch motors
- Protects motor from exceeding overspeed or cavitation in the inlet side when driving downhill or when loads are dragging.
Applications
- Wheeled or tracked vehicles (e.g., excavators)
- Rotating heads and cutter circuits (e.g., mulchers)
- Working devices (e.g., lifting of drill heads on vertical drilling equipment)
- Winches and cranes
- Other working functions with rotors using hydrostatic variable or fixed motors
Specifications
- Rated operating pressure: 350 bar [5,075 psi]
- Maximum working pressure bar 420 bar [6,090 psi]
- Nominal flow: 400 l/min [105.6 US gal/min]
- Maximum flow: 600 l/min [158.4 US gal/min]
