Gear motors
Our gear motors deliver maximal power from small packages made from lightweight aluminum or durable cast iron. Using advanced technology, they provide high efficiency and reliability for small machines and complex systems alike.
Danfoss offers a range of peak performance fixed displacement hydraulic gear motors available in different frame sizes, including aluminum and cast iron units, both with fan drive versions.

GearMe aluminum gear motors
With displacements from 2.6 cm3 to 90 cm3 [0.16 in3 to 5.49 in3] and pressure ratings up to 250 bar [3,625 psi], our aluminum gear motors are ideal when both compactness and high efficiency are required. They feature high-strength extruded aluminum housings, aluminum rear covers, and front flanges for maximal strength and minimal weight. A compact, versatile fan drive option is also available.
Lumi aluminum gear motors
For standard applications, our Lumi aluminum gear motor product line provides solid options with displacements from 8.2 cm3 to 24.0 cm3 [0.5 in3 to 1.46 in3] and pressure ratings up to 180 bar [2,610 psi]. These motors maintain sealing pressure and adapt automatically to operating conditions to minimize energy loss and maximize efficiency.
Rugid aluminum gear motors
With displacements from 7.0 cm3 to 31.7 cm3 [0.43 in3 to 1.93 in3] and pressure ratings up to 210 bar [3,000 psi], our compact, power-dense Rugid aluminum gear motors ensure high efficiency over a wide temperature range. Die-cast aluminum housings, end covers, and flanges provide a rigid structure to protect the fixed bushings, and a variety of integrated valve options are included.
Rugid cast iron gear motors
With displacements from 17.6 cm3 to 48.3 cm3 [1.08 in3 to 2.95 in3] and pressure ratings up to 276 bar [4,000 psi], our cast iron gear motors maximize mobile application performance at peak power levels and operating temperatures. They reduce emissions and increase productivity and fuel efficiency while providing installation flexibility in tight spaces thanks to side and rear port options and a package size 20% smaller than that of conventional gear motors.
